Obituary of Andrew Franklin Fields

Franklin Fields Dead
Died in Lebanon Saturday night, after a brief
illness, uncle Franklin Fields, aged 81 years and six months. In
1862 he answered his country's call and joined Company A, 16th Virginia
Cavalry and was elected Lieutenant, and was a brave soldier. Soon
after the war he connected with the Christian church and was an exemplary
member of the same. The writer of this was closely
associated with Mr. Fields for forty years and can testify to his high
Christian character. A number of his old comand
attended the burial of the body.
