John F. McElhenny at Lebanon Virginia on the 10th day of May, eighteen hundred and sixty one, to serve for the period of one year, re-enlisted for 2 years and is now entitle to discharge, by reason of Gunshot wound in right hand, producing permanent contraction of the flexor muscles, and disability of hand. The said Private Nathan M. Cooper was last paid by Capt. Bird, to include the 31st day of December, 1863, and has pay due him from that time to the present date. [...] dollars and fifty three cents.
