I CERTIFY, That the within named E. K. Statzer a private of Captain C. R. Skinker's Company (K) of the 48th Regiment of Va. Infnatry, born in Washington Co in the State of Virginia, aged 25 years, five feet, six inches high, Fair complexion, Grey eyes, Dark hair, and by occupation a carpenter was enlisted by Capt. Candler at Abingdon Va on the 17 day of July 1861, to serve one year is now entitled to a furough of three days.
