Death notice of John Wesley Steele

JOHN STEELE IS CALLED TO REWARD


News was received here announcing the death of John H. [sic] Steele, aged 73 years, which occured at his home at New Hope, three miles east of McKinney at 1 o'clock Friday p. m., after a several days illness of pneumonia. Mr. Steele has been a resident of Collin county for many years, and had been engaged in the grocery business at New Hope for the past ten years. He is survived by his wife and three sons, S. W., and John Steele of McKinney, and Bob Steele of near Princeton.

Deceased was a consistent member of the Methodist church and was a member of Empire Lodge No. 68, I. O. O. F., this city. This highly esteemed and much loved old gentleman leaves numerous friends who will regret to learn of his death.
