Isaac V. Reynolds to His Wife

Camp Comfort
Apr 2nd 1863

Dear Wife

I take the present opportunity to inform you I recd your letter dated March the 27th and read it with pleasure, it was only three days comeing after it was mailed. It you will be particular how and when you mall your letters I can get them the third day after they are mailed.

I havent anything to write at this time only I am well & tolerably well satisfied, moreso than i was when I first came back here from home. I sent a few lines to you by George Lockhart, I told him to leave it at the office. Write again as soon as you get this & let me hear how you are doing.

I want you to take good care of my mare, have her rubed a little and fed good for I expect to ride her before long if nothing happens. You had to pay prety high for your load of hay, but better that than let things die for the want of it. We are laying in camp yet as lazy as usual. I would like to hear orders for us to leave this place for I am very tired of it.

Nothing more at this time, only remain yours

I. V. Reynolds

Write to me what the old man has done with that mare. Tell him there is two or three wanting her if she will suit them.
