April 14, 1916 DEAD AT 76 YEARS.
R. P. Alexander, wounded in battle near Winchester in the war between the States, died on Big Cedar Creek Sunday night, aged 76 years. He was shot in the leg near the ankle and though maimed and disable he worked and made his support.
One of his neighbors said "Mr. Alexander was a good man and an excellent citizen."
The deceased was the last member of a family of several children.
