Death of Samuel W. Aston.
We have deeply regretted to hear of the death of our venerable friend Mr. Samuel W. Aston, of Lebanon, Va. He died last Saturday after an honorable and well spent life which covered a period of nearly ninety years. Mr. Aston was one of the great old men of this section, and very few like him are now remaining. He was, we believe, a native of Russell county and for more than fifty yeears was the leading merchant at Lebanon. Of a splendid presence, fine intellect and noble character, he was a man who made a profound impression on all who came in contact with him. Peace to his ashes.
