April 12, 1918 RUSSELL MAN DIES IN KENTUCKY
George W. Bailey was born in Russell county, Virginia, January 25th, 1837, and died at Paintsville, Ky., March 31, 1918. Bailey came to Kentucky last part of Civil war and has lived in Johnson county, Kentucky since. His first wife was a Russell county women, maiden name was Catherine Morton, who has been dead several years.
Mr. Bailey was liked by all who knew him. He was a member of the Methodist church, also a member of I. O. O. F., who conducted the burial services.
The town and county lose a good citizen in the death of George.
