Obituary of James Wesley Bausell

James W. Bausell

LEBANON, Aug. 23. James Wesley Bausell, 89, Confederate veteran, former newspaper editor, many terms mayor of this town and once a deputy sheriff, died at his home here at 7:30 this morning. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Lebanon Methodist Church. Burial will be in West Hill cemetery.

Surviving are his widow, four sons, William T. and James T. of Lebanon, Henry F. of Bristol and Lebanon, Marshall W. of Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Hannah W. Teets of Lebanon and Mrs. Marguerite Reece of Las Vegas, N. M.: a brother, John C. of Carbo, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Reynolds of Indiana and Mrs. Cynthia McReynolds of St Paul, Va.

LEBANON, VA., Aug. 23. James Wesley Bausell, 89, mayor of Lebanon for many years, died at his home here at 7:30 this morning following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Lebanon Methodist Church.

He is survived by his widow, four sons and two daughters.

Mr. Bausel served with the Confederate Army in the War Between the States, and for a number of years has been commander of the Confederate Veteran's Camp of Russell County.
