Former Sutter Man Dies in Berkeley

YUBA CITY (Sutter Co.), April 22. -
Word was received here today of the death in Berkeley at the home of his son, of J. Fletcher Bickley, a well known former resident of this place. Death came suddenly. He was a native of virginia, 83 years of age. He was the father of Mrs. H. H. Schuessler and Edward Bickley of Berkeley, and Mrs. W. F. Bird of Yuba City.
Mr. Bickley, who resided in Yuba City for many years, departed for Berkeley six years ago, where he has since made his home with his son. he was widely known throughout Yuba and Sutter counties, and was one of the pioneer residents of Sutter county.
