Obituary of Charles W. Buckles

July 31, 1903 LAST ROLL CALL The Old Veterans Are Rapidly Passing Away. On last Sunday Charlie Buckles died at his late home a few miles northeast of Lebanon, aged 60 years. He was a model citizen and a devoted member of the Baptist church. Some three weeks ago he was stricken with typhoid fever and was a patient suffer until the end. Mr. Buckles was a brave Confederate soldier and had the respect of all who knew him. A number of old comrades attended the burial. The old veterans are rapidly passing away. Three other members of the same family are ill.
