Dies At The Age Of Ninety-Three-Years

After a life extending over a period of 93 years and fifteen days, D. Oscar Clark passed away Sunday night at his home in Honaker, Russell county, and the burial took place Monday.

The deceased was the father of Mr. M. C. Clark, of Honaker, and Mrs. L. D. Wilton, of Roanoke.

Mr. Clark served in the war between the States on the Confederate side, and his war record was that of an active and faithful soldier. He was also a "Soldier of the Cross" having chosen that good part which shall not be taken away from him, being a member of the Baptist church.

The death of Oscar Clark marks the passing of a truly good man, one of the oldest of the county, and one of the quietest and best citizens. He was not afraid to die.
