Obituary of Edward Dolan Kernan Cooper
December 29, 1924 MELROSE MAN PASSES SATURDAY
E. D. K. Copper, a well known resident of Melrose, passed away at his home Saturday, December 27, at the age of 80 years, 6 months, and 28 days. He was born in Russell county, Virginia, and has been living at Melrose for the past four years. He made his home at Oakland for 22 years, after which he moved to Gold Hill, living there a year, before moving to Melrose. He leaves many friends to grieve his passing hin this vicinity. Those surviving are, his wife, and seven children, G. W. Cooper, Melrose, Martha Cooper, William Cooper, Ida Vivison, and Maggie Goodman, all of Oakland, and Virginia Trenk, of Benhamn, Virginia. The funeral services were held at Oakland today at 1 o'clock, interment following at the I. O. O. F. cemetery.
