August 19, 1910 Passing Of A Good Man.
Died at his home four miles west of Lebanon last week, Dr. J. H. Duty, useful and well known man and a former citizen of Dickenson county. Dr. Duty bought the McBroom property west of town and it was there the family have resided of late years.
The reporter has never heard Dr. Duty spoken of only as an excellent Christian gentleman. No one could speak otherwise. He tried to live a life that merits eternal rest for the soul, and he lived it.
The sorrowing family has the sympathy of many friends in Russell and Dickenson counties.
