A. K. Evans, aged 80 years, died at his home in Castlewood a few days ago.
Mr. Evans was a splendid citizen, a member of the Methodist church and was also a Confederate soldier, a member of the 7th Virginia Cavalry.
He was twice married, his last wife, who was Mrs. Nannie Kiser, and three children of the first marriage, E. J. Evans, of Huntington, W. Va., Mrs. C. F. Counts, Castlewood, and Mrs. L. B. Counts, of Cleveland, survive him.
