Obituary of Anthony McKnight Ferguson

REV. FERGUSON DIED SUNDAY

Rev. A. M. Ferguson, a well known and much beloved minister of the Christian Church in East Tennessee, died beloved minister of the Christian Church in East Tennessee [sic], died at the home of his son Rev. A. A. Ferguson, in Elizabethton Sunday morning, following an illness of several days. Mr. Ferguson was almost nearing the eighty milepost and had led a very active life, one that was full of usefulness to the world and to those with whom he came in contact. He had been a minister in the Christian Church for over a half century.

Impressive funeral services were held at the home in Elizabethton this afternoon, and the remains were then brought to Johnson City where interment was made in Oak Hill cemetery. Rev. Riddell conducting short services. The deceased is survived by one son, Rev. A. A. Ferguson of Elizabethton.
