Death Notice of Jacob C. Gent

December 30, 1909 News has been received here of the death at Lebanon, Russell county, on Saturday last, of Captain J. C. Gent, a prominent citizen of that community, and at one time the representative of Russell county in the Virginia legislature. Captain Kent was a brave soldier of the Confederate army, and at the time of his death was commander of the camp of ex-Confederate veterans at Lebanon. He was about 78 years of age. Among his surviving children is the wife of Judge Burns, of Lebanon.
