Obituary of Archer Jessee Gray

May 29, 1919 OBITUARY. Archer J. Gray was born in Lebanon, Virginia, Sept. 3, 1836, and died at Harris, Mo., May 20, 1919. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Seacott, March 2, 1858. To this union was born eight children, seven of which survive him: Florence McCormick, N. D. Gray, Mabelle Shobe, Nancy King, Margaret Shores, Ella Gray, Eva Kiser. His wife and one daughter preceded him to their reward. He also leaves eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. he was converted and joined the Baptist church in Lebanon, Virginia, when a young man, of which church he remained a member until death.
