Confederate Veteran Dies
W. P. Grizzle, another old Confederate Veteran, answered the last roll call last Tuesday morning and passed into the land of eternal rest.
Mr. Grizzle was near 90 years of age, and made his home near Clinchfield. Burial was made at Carbo Wednesday afternoon.
His burial was attended by a few of the remaining veterans of Russell county. The past few years has thinned the Ranks of the Gray, many having passed on in the past few years, there being only about twelve of these gallant men that fought for their rights during the sixties, are left in Russell to tell of the bloody conflict.
