Death Notice of Harvey Honaker

January 16, 1903

"SQUIRE" H. HONAKER DEAD.
He was the Justice John of Russell County.

LEBANON, VA., January 15. - (Special).
H. Honaker, the well-known justice of the peace of the town which bears his name, was buried there yesterday, having died from blood-poisoning, resulting from a slight injury to one of his toes. "Squire" Honaker, as he was commonly known, had held the office of magistrate for thirty years or more, and might be called the "Justice John" of this county. He had blood-poisoning a few years ago. The trouble was caused by his sticking a splinter in his hand, as a result of which he had to have one of his arms amputated.

Deceased was a Mason, and was buried with Masonic honors.
