Obituary of George W. House

George W. House Dead

George W. House, aged 85 years, died at his home near Barnett, on December 18, 1924. Mr. House had been sick with a cancer on his face and throat for more than a year. He leaves one son, Chas. W. House, and one daughter, Mrs. Rachel Thomas.

He was born in Barbour county, Ky., Dec. 2, 1839. He volunteered in the Confederate army Capt. Thomas commanding in 1861. In 1863 he married Nancy Browning.

He was married three times; his second wife was Caroline Redwine, and his third wife was Caroline Leonard.

Mr. House was a member of the Methodist church. He was converted when about 16 years of age. He was a good man and will be missed.

The funeral was conducted Friday, December 16th, by Revs. C. E. Steele and F. H. Fuller at the home of the deceased.
