October 25, 1918 FORMER EUGENE MAN DIES J. B. HUNT PASSES AWAY AT SAN JOSE, CAL.
J. B. Hunt, a former Eugene resident, died at San Jose, Cal., yesterday according to a telegram received last night by Marion Veatch, undertaker, who is asked to take care of the remains upon their arrival in Eugene Saturday morning on train No. 16.
The funeral will be held at the Gordon and Veatch chapel at 2 p. m. that day. Rev. C. E. Dunham, pastor of the Baptist church, will conduct the services and the body will be interred in the I. O. O. F. cemetery.
The telegram, which was sent by R. B. Hunt, former civil engineer of this city, says that Mrs. D. B. Blumenrother will accompany the remains.
