Obituary of Andy Fullen Hurt

A. F. Hurt Dies In Norton Saturday

News of the death of A. F. Hurt at Norton Saturday was received with genuine regret throughout Russell county.

Mr. Hurt had been in declining health for the past two or three years, being confined to his room the most of the time.

He was born and reared in this county and served the county as sheriff one term besides holding other offices.

Mr. Hurt was a Confederate soldier and was a member of the 29th Virginia Regiment and was loyal to the lost cause.

He is survived by his widow and three sons and two daughters, namely: J. P. Hurt, T. V. Hurt, Willard Hurt, Miss Mary Margaret Hurt and Mrs. Hendricks.

Funeral services were conducted Monday and interment made in the Norton cemetery.
