Obituary of William N. Jackson

July 11, 1935

WILLIAM JACKSON

William Jackson passed away July 2nd, leaving a record of nearly 86 years of unusually splendid daily life.

He was an unwavering Christian portrying explicit faith in a daily practical way, a long adorable church member, a concentrated believer in daily prayer which he quietly but assuredly practiced incessantly.

Next to his Savior came his family and friends, If he had an enemy the writer has failed to hear of it.

Mr. Jackson was a man who liked, in an inexpressible manner, the work of a farmer, which occupaation he followed ardently throughout his long life. His Appreciation for the horticultural beauty of nature could hardly be surpassed.

In closing may it be said that Mr. Jackson was a total abstainer from whiskey and tobacco. These facts should be taken as a guide for all who may read them and then they, like he, who lived them will profit both here and most of all in that celestial life.

Mr. Jackson was a Christian gentleman whose exemplified life may be looked upon with a marvelous admiration.
