March 31, 1922 W. L. Jessee Died March 26 In Norton
W. L. Jessee, a former citizen of Russell county, died at Norton March 26, age 84 years. Mr. Jessee lived at Cleveland until about six years ago. He was a good man and a faithful christian and was a member of the Cleveland Baptist church.
Mr. Jessee was a member of Capt. Dickenson's company in the Confederate army and was a good soldier. He was a pioneer advocate of prohibition.
The funeral services were held at Cleveland Monday afternoon by Revs. F. H. Fuller, of Lebanon, and D. L. Simmons, of Norton.
