Ex-Confederate Dies At Age Of 100
CATLETTSBURG, KY. (AP). Calvin Jones, a Confederate veteran who would have been 101 years old Oct. 16, died yesterday.
Born in Wythe county, Virginia, a son of Lewis and Lucinda Paynter Jones, he entered the service of the Confederacy in Russell county, Virginia, when he was 22.
