A few days back at Putnam, in the home of his daughter, Mrs. M. L. Mays, John Mays, 83 years of age, passed away after a gradual decline due to old age.
Mr. Mays was a good man and will be missed in the community in which he lived.
Interment was made at Fugate's Hill, his old home.
