Obituary of Samuel Patton McCloud

October 6, 1939 Deaths-Funerals S. P. McCLOUD S. P. McCloud, mentioned in this paper frequently as one of the last three Confederate soldiers in Russell county, died at his home in Lebanon at midnight Wednesday. The death of the aged citizen was expected as he had been desperately ill for days with cancer of the throat. He is survived by a wife and three sons, Marsh, Aut and Landy McCloud, the latter of Bluefield. Funeral and burial will be held Friday.
