Charles Monk died Friday morning at his late home, the Corner settlement northeast of Lebanon.
The localist is not informed as to the age of the deceased but he had reached a ripe old age, being among the oldest men of that portion of the county.
Mr. Monk was a confederate soldier and experienced some of the hardships of the sixties.
