Confederate Soldier Dead
John D. Puckett, 91-year-old veteran of the Civil War, one of Russell county's oldest citizens, died on Copper Ridge, north of Lebanon, Wednesday at 6 a. m.
He is survived by his widow, who is 85, and by three sons, six daughters and a host of grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from his home Thursday afternoon, with Rev. J. T. Stinson, of Lebanon, officiating. Interment was in the Richlands cemetery.
