Obituary of William Short

February 22, 1912 Mr. William Short, aged 67 years, who came to this county about one year ago from Buchanan county, Va., and had since made his home with his son, Mr. Marion C. short, at Knobbs post-office, died on Sunday evening, February 11, after a lingering illness of heart disease and kidney trouble. He had been unconcious for several days before his death. Mr. Short was twice married, both his wives preceeding him to the grave. He is survived by three sons. The remains were laid to rest in a graveyard on the Knobs on Tuesday the 13th inst. after services by Rev. J. M. Ashworth. Deceased was a member of the Primitive Baptist church.
