Obituary of Jesse Sutherland

October 17, 1913 We are grieved to note that uncle Jessee Sutherland, of Russell, departed this life on October 10th at the ripe old age of 83 years, 5 months and 25 days. He leaves an aged widow, one brother, Elijah, of Carterton, and seven children and a host of grand children.

October 17, 1913 Jessee Sutherland Dead. The demise of uncle Jessee Sutherland, occurred last Friday at his home at Russell. He was in his 83rd year. Mr. Sutherland's life was filled with energy and usefulness to the neighborhood in which he lived. A large crowd attended the burial attesting the esteem in which he was held.
