May 21, 1926 Hugh Taylor, 80 Years Old, Dead
Saturday, May 15, 1926, the soul of that splendid citizen, Hugh Taylor, took its flight to god, who gave it existence five score years ago, and his life work was ended.
Yes, Hugh Taylor was truly an upright citizen, standing well among friends and neighbors who will miss him.
One son, Tobe Taylor, of the same neighborhood, a few miles east of Lebanon survives.
The good wife of our departed friend died in 1896, thirty years ago.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. J. T. Stinson, of Bluefield, assisted by Rev. W. B. James, of Lebanon and Rev. C. E. Steele, of Elk Garden.
