Another Old Soldier Drops Out of Line
Cummings Thompson, a confederate soldier who followed Stonewall Jackson in the campaign through the Valley of Virginia, was buried near the old home in Copper Ridge Tuesday.
Mr. Thompson, who had lived the life of a peaceful farmer, was a good citizen, lived right and died as a Christian soldier.
He was ninety-one years of age.
Children surviving are M. A. and George Thompson and Mrs. Steele.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. T. Stinson, sr.
