Death Notice of Patrick Tignor

August 3, 1869

On Thursday week, in Russell county in this State, a negro man named Wm. Wright killed a white man named Patrick Tignor by striking him repeated blows on the head with a gun. He attempted to shoot him, but the gun failed to go off. The negro made his escape.
