J. B. TURNER BURIED.

Civil War Veteran Was Widely Known Throughout Clinch Valley.

J. K. Turner, of Peterstown, accompanied by his brother, R. F. Turner, of this city, arrived here yesterday from Carterton, Va., where they were called Sunday on account of the death of their father, J. B. Turner. Mr. Turner, a Civil War veteran, wa aged seventy-two years and widely known throughout the Clinch Valley, where he had spent all his life. Beside J. K. and R. F. Turner he is survived by his widow and another son, W. W. Turner of Canebrake, and three daughters, Mrs. J. W. Debusk, of Norfolk; Mrs. N. D. Hale, of Castlewood, and Mrs. William Mercer, of Carterton, Va. The funeral service was held Saturday afternoon and interment was made in the cemetery at Carterton. The Carterton Masonic Lodge, of which the deceased was a member, had charge of the burial.
