Obituary of Lewis J. Walden

July 10, 1914 Death of Mr. Walden Mr. Lewis Walden, after an lingering illness, passed away at his home near Abingdon Tuesday morning, at the age of 73 years. He had been in declining health for some months and grew worse until the end. Mr. Walden was an ex-Confederate soldier and served nobly during the war. Besides a host of friends, Mr. Walden leaves a wife, five sons and four daughters to survive. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home by Rev. S. B. Vaught, after which the remains were laid to rest in the family burying ground.
