WOOD - M. J. Wood, age 91 years and 18 days, died Saturday night at 8 o'clock after a short illness. He served as a corporal in company E, Eighth Tennessee cavalry regiment. He was a member of the M. E. church at St. Petersburg, Fla. His wife died June 19, 1922. Mr. Wood is survived by one brother, E. M. Wood, of Harriman; two sisters, Mrs. Sue Sumner, of Kingsport, and Mrs. Nan Honaker, of Norton, Va., and three sons, D. T. Wood., Knoxville; J. W. Wood, Coalfield, Tenn., and H. R. Wood, of Kentucky; two daughters, Mrs. M. P. Miller, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. M. E. Neighbert, of Knoxville. Funeral notice will appear later.
