Monument Fund Grows.

A two dollar contribution for the Confederate Monument has just been received from far off North Dakota sent by W. N. Bickley, a Russell born man who still loves Russell and her people. Following is the contributions received by the Lebanon News:

Elie Buckles, Kansas, $5.00
W. N. Bickley, North Dakota, 2.00

There are hundreds of people in the west and in Virginia who would like to help in the erection of this monument - a tribute to the men who participated in the greatest war the world has ever known. This paper begs the people everywhere to send contributions which will be published in the News.

The brave men who wore the gray fought for principles that they not only thought were right but knew were right, and knowing this they suffered hardships, privations, and every form of human suffering known to mankind. In their unparalelled fidelity to their cause they have left us a priceless heritage and one that every true Southern man and woman should be proud of and appreciate.

Send in your contributions at once please.
