Col. J. W. Bausell received the gift of a Confederate cape from Mrs. C. F. Crockett, of Path Fork, Ky. The cape has been wonderfully preserved. He prizes the gift very highly.

An important date to remember is the Memorial service for departed Confederate soldiers to be held in Lebanon, Sunday June 30th. Dr. J. C. Orr, of Emory, will be the preacher on this occasion. As many of the 17 surviving veterans in Russell, as can, are urged to attend.
