THREE PONCA VETS LEFT.

Two of Remaining from Union Forces and One Confederate.

Ponca, Neb. May 31. - In memorial services held here the North and South met after 61 years, when Cummings Gilmer, 82, sole Confederate veteran of this town, and John Armstrong, 82, one of the last two Union veterans, met before the chancel of a church and shook hands. The other union veteran, James Logan, was present to witness the ceremonies. He and Mr. Armstrong are the last members of the Stoneman Post No. 116, G. A. R., which once had a membership of 75 or 80.
