OLD VETERANS HAPPY

Meeting of McElhenny Camp at Lebanon-Speaking and Dinner

(Special Dispatch to The Times)

LEBANON, VA., October 7. McElhenney Camp Confederate Veterans met here Saturday and held their annual election. Captain J. C. Gent was selected commander, after which delegates were elected to the reunion of the State Division, to be held at Wytheville on the 22d instant. The day being wet, the Camp repaired to the courthouse, where an elegant dinner was served to the old veterans and greatly enjoyed.

After dinner Barsey Thompson, president of Russell College, delivered a most excellent address. Everybody was happy and went away feeling it was good to have such occasions.
