Born circa 1842 in Wilkes County, NC. Enlisted 9/7/62 in Russell County, company musician in 1862. Went AWOL 10/3/62 at Mt. Sterling, KY, returned in arrest 3/14/64. Hospital at Richmond 6/21/64 with acute rheumatism. Transferred to Danville Hospital. Present with unit 12/64, captured 4/1/65 at Petersburg. Prisoner at Point Lookout, released 6/25/65. Description 5'7" tall, dark complection, brown hair, hazel eyes. Died 5/6/1930 at Honaker.
