Service Record:
Served in the 2nd Virginia State Line and the 22nd Virginia Cavalry. Captain of Company E. He is credited in Union accounts of saving a home during the burning of Chambersburg, PA. Captured at Moorefield and sent to Camp Chase. After the war he was Mayor of Lebanon for 40 years and editor of the Lebanon News for 18 years.
