CERTIFICATE OF DISABILITY FOR DISCHARGE.

Jacob Brown a member of Captain John V. Duff's Company (C), of the Thirty Seventh Regiment of Confederate States Infantry, was enlisted by Capt. John F. McElhenny, of the 37th Regiment of Virginia Vols., at Lebanon Russell Co. Va on the 18th day of March, 1862, to serve for 3 years or during the war; he was born in Wilkes Co in the State of North Carolina, is Thirty Two years of age, 5 feet, 10 inches high, Dark complexion, Hazel eyes, dark hair, and by occupation when enlisted at Farmer. During the last two months said soldier has been unfit for duty ____ day.
