Notes: In Butler Co., KS by 1893, single. Second marriage in Kansas, but he apparently abandoned his wife and was divorced by her 2 years later. Wife's obituary in Salina Daily Republican (2/18/1893) says she was his second wife, married 11/27/1871. Living in Texas by 1901. Long article and photo in Dallas Morning News, 9/2/1928. Falsely reported killed in Galveston Hurricane of 1900.
