I CERTIFY, That the within named Nathan W. Easterly a private of Captain John V. Duffs Company (C) of the 37th Regiment of Va. Vols. born in Russell Co. in the State of Virginia, aged 21 years, 5 feet, 8 inches high, dark complexion, black eyes, dark hair, and by Occupation a farmer was enlisted by Capt. John F. McElheny at Lebanon Russell Co. Va. on the 10 day of May 1861 to serve One year and killed in action at Richmond Va the 27 day of June 1862.
The said Nathan W. Easterly was last paid by Capt. Cole A. Q. M. to include the 28th day of February 1862, and has pay due from that date to the date of his death.
