I desire raising a Cavalry Company for your Legion my Residence is Russell Co Va and if you will give me a permit to return to my county I have no dout But I can rais a Company for the war If I cant git a full Company I will git as many men as I can and detach them to Capt. E. C. Felps Company as I am a member of his company at this time If you will give me a permit please send me transportation to Russell C. H. Va & name the time that you alow me to have for to raise the Company I would like to be there at the April musters as they begin the first Saturday in April please give me and answer
