CERTFICATE OF DISABILITY FOR DISCHARGE.

Private Thomas J. Harris, of Captain John W. Fickle Company (C,) of the thirty seventh Regiment of Confederate States Infantry, was enlisted by Capt. John F. McElhenny, or the 37th Regiment of Va Infantry at Lebanon Virginia on the 10th day of May 1861, to serve one year; he was born in Pulaski County in the State of Kentucky, is thirty one years of age, 5 feet, 9 inches high, dark complexion, Grey eyes, dark hair, and by occupation when enlisted a Blacksmith. During the last twenty months said soldier has been unfit for duty ____ days.

I CERTIFY, that I have carefully examined the said Private Thomas J. Harris of Captain Fickle's Company, and find him incapable of performing the duties of a soldier because of gunshot wound productin contractions of flexor muscles of leg.
