he died in U. S. A. General Hospital, at Lexington, Ky on the 25 day of December 1864 by reason of small pox.

I CERTIFY, ON HONOR that Francis Isaacs, deceased had no descriptive list and no effects at the time of his death.

I certify, on honor, that Francis Isaacs, a Private of Captain H. R. Brown's Company (A) of the 39th Regiment of Mtd Inft. Volunteers, of the State of Kentucky, born in Washington County, State of Virginia, aged 24 years; 5 feet 8 1/2 inches high; fair complexion, Black eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Farmer, having joined the company on its original organization at _____ and enrolled in it at the muster into the service of the United States at Peach Orchard Ky, on the eighteenth day of November 1862 [...] to served in the Regiment, for the term of three years: and having served HONESTLY and FAITHFULLY with his Company in the 39th Ky Vols to the present date, is now entitled to a DISCHARGE by reason of Death at Lexington Ky on the 25th day of December 1864.

The said Francis Isaacs was last paid by paymaster Maj Kinney to include the 28th day of February 1863, and has pay due him from that time to the present day. [...] He has received from the United States CLOTHING amounting to 89.77 dollars, since the ___ day of Enlistment[...]

there is to be stopped from him,[...] Nine months and thirteen days of pay deducted by sentence of General Court Martial.
